The EA and Battlefield Studios team behind Battlefield 6 is reducing ticket counts for its large-scale Conquest multiplayer mode, yet players remain skeptical that these adjustments will actually speed up matches.
An official announcement from the Battlefield Comms X/Twitter account revealed structural updates to Conquest across all maps. Developers aim to ensure games conclude at a more natural rhythm through these blanket changes.
To achieve this balance, BF Studios has lowered ticket counts from 1000 to map-specific targets. Adjustments range from 900 tickets on Siege of Cairo and Empire State down to 700 for Mirak Valley and Operation Firestorm. See the complete list below.
New Conquest Ticket Sizes in Battlefield 6
- Siege of Cairo: Reduced from 1000 to 900
- Empire State: Reduced from 1000 to 900
- Iberian Offensive: Reduced from 1000 to 900
- Liberation Peak: Reduced from 1000 to 800
- Manhattan Bridge: Reduced from 1000 to 800
- Operation Firestorm: Reduced from 1000 to 700
- New Sobek City: Reduced from 1000 to 900
- Mirak Valley: Reduced from 1000 to 700
"Previously, many rounds hit the time limit rather than ending when one team exhausted its tickets," the developers noted. "We will continue monitoring feedback and data to ensure each match flows correctly."
While BF Studios intends for matches to feel more natural, players doubt that lowering ticket requirements is the right fix. Many actually prefer 1000-ticket games for the tension of last-minute comebacks. For numerous fans, the real issue isn't the high ticket count causing time-outs—it's the timer itself.
why have a time limit? what’s wrong with longer games? i swear back in the day a conquest game used to run for 30-40 minutes

"The simpler solution would be removing time limits entirely," content creator @MoiDawg commented. "Close matches are thrilling, and this artificial cap ruins comebacks. Just let us play Conquest; I don't expect a match to end in 20 minutes. Big L."
Other Battlefield 6 fans echo this sentiment, suggesting the team simply increase or eliminate the timer instead of cutting tickets. Some players are surprised by any changes at all, noting they rarely see matches hit the time limit even after dozens of hours played. Even those who have experienced timed-out games believe slightly longer durations would solve the issue.
"Couldn’t you just add 10 minutes to the timer?" one Reddit user asked.
"God forbid a conquest match lasts more than 15 minutes," another X reply added.
In a separate tweet, BF Studios also announced that the Out of Bounds timer for vehicles on Manhattan Bridge in both Conquest and Escalation modes has been extended from five to ten seconds.
