Audio Visual Lessons for Evangelism and Basic Bible Teaching
Introduction
These audio visual lessons for evangelism and basic Bible teaching are based on the Sunday School Lessons published by the AIC Sunday School Committee, Juba, Southern Sudan. They have been adapted for general use by Global Recordings Network Australia, with the permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan. The lessons are designed to be used in conjunction with the audio visual picture books provided by Global Recordings Network, serving as an essential visual aid.
Purpose
These lessons were developed in response to requests for assistance from young people tasked with teaching in Sunday School. The integration of pictures is crucial as they enhance the teaching experience and engagement of the students.

Usage
This app focuses solely on the lesson segment of Sunday School sessions, which are intended to last about twenty minutes. The remainder of the Sunday School time, which may include singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and other activities, is left to the discretion of the teachers. We recommend concluding each lesson with a brief prayer and song that ties into the lesson's theme. These lessons are tailored for children aged 7 to 12, catering to a broad age range.
Initially, teachers manually transcribed each lesson into an exercise book on a weekly basis. Thus, the lessons were designed to be concise but comprehensive, providing a framework for teachers to expand upon during their preparation. Some lessons have since been elaborated, yet the goal remains to offer a succinct yet thorough outline.
Teaching Approach
Each lesson features an aim at the top to guide the teaching focus. Since it's not feasible to convey the entire scope of God's truth in a single lesson, teachers are encouraged to focus on one or two key truths per lesson. This approach helps children gradually build their understanding of God. The lesson material is not meant to be read verbatim to the class but should serve as a guide for the teacher, akin to a walking stick rather than a crutch.
