Hideo Kojima, the visionary behind Death Stranding, has revealed plans for a special event in Tokyo to mark the 10th anniversary of his independent studio, Kojima Productions.
The celebratory gathering, titled "Beyond The Strand," will be hosted by Kojima personally. It promises appearances from special guests and a preview of upcoming projects. The event is scheduled for September 23, 2025, at TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.
Local fans can enter a ticket lottery for a chance to attend, with tickets priced at ¥7700 (approximately $50) going on sale September 2. For everyone else, the event will be available to stream online.
While details on Kojima's enigmatic PlayStation project, *Physint*, are scarce—the developer recently stated it's still in the conceptual phase—the event may offer new insights into the horror title *OD*. This project continues its development in partnership with Microsoft, unaffected by recent Xbox project cancellations.
Kojima initially announced the *OD* collaboration with Xbox in November 2022, formally unveiling it alongside key cast members at The Game Awards 2023. The project, a collaboration with filmmaker Jordan Peele, aims to deliver a horror experience "unlike anything seen before."
Although best known for creating the groundbreaking *Metal Gear* stealth series, Kojima confirmed he does not plan to play the upcoming remake, *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater*. However, Konami's *Metal Gear* series producer, Noriaki Okamura, has expressed a desire to collaborate with Kojima on the series again in the future.
