Fans eager to dive into the first episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to enter the world of Fortnite to catch the series before its Disney+ debut. Epic Games has unveiled its plans to enhance its Star Wars content, announcing that the initial two episodes of this animated spinoff will premiere exclusively within Fortnite. This move aligns with the studio's strategy to ramp up Star Wars content during its upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises an array of Star Wars-themed experiences.
You can witness the debut of Tales of the Underworld, featuring Asajj Ventress, through the Star Wars Watch Party island, starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2 – two days ahead of its Disney+ release. Epic Games encourages fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, offering a First Order Stormtrooper outfit as a reward. While the full benefits of linking accounts remain undisclosed, Epic hints at "more benefits to come."“Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision,” stated Epic Games President Adam Sussman. “We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come.”
You'll have until May 11 to watch both episodes of Tales of the Underworld on the Star Wars Watch Party island before it goes offline. The island will also host a Battle Arena where players can engage in lightsaber combat against waves of enemies. Viewers who watch both episodes will be rewarded with an Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode series, animated in the style of The Clone Wars, that follows the adventures of Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The official synopsis suggests Ventress will encounter a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane must confront his past.
Disney's relationship with Fortnite extends beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, the House of Mouse acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, setting the stage for long-term collaboration. This partnership will not only introduce more Star Wars content but also bring Marvel and Pixar outfits to the game. Notable additions in the next season include Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has continued to dominate the gaming landscape. Recent collaborations, such as the one with Sabrina Carpenter, have kept the game fresh and engaging, encouraging players to trade their pickaxes for dancing shoes.
