How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
Your journey begins as a **Soul Spirit**, but to embrace your destiny as a Shinigami or **Soul Reaper**, you must heed the call of an NPC named **Hurt Shinigami**. By accepting her quest, you commit to the path of the Shinigami, leaving the Hollow route behind—unless you later choose to become a **Visored**. Act quickly during the Shinigami/Hollow selection. Opting for a Hollow involves breaking your chain, while choosing Shinigami means watching your chain slowly disintegrate. Every two minutes, a section of the chain breaks, and if you let it fully break, you'll transform into a Hollow. Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
