Ratatan Early Access Postponed
Demo Feedback Leads to Development Delay

On July 4, Ratatan's developers announced via Steam that Early Access would be delayed following critical responses to the demo. Originally scheduled for July 25, the release has been pushed back indefinitely.
Rata Arts shared that the demo garnered 200,000 downloads alongside 1,200 Steam reviews and 2,000 player comments. The team acknowledged insufficient development time to implement requested changes, prompting the postponement.
Key feedback points included concerns about roguelike mechanics progression, inactive Ratatan abilities, underwhelming visual effects, and needed improvements to game pacing and mid-game structure.

While Ratatan serves as a spiritual follow-up to Patapon by original creator Hiroyuki Kotani, Rata Arts clarifies it's an independent project delivering fresh experiences. "Ratatan isn't Patapon - it's an indie title forging its own path with deliberate creative differences," developers noted.
