*League of Legends* has unveiled an exciting new minigame within its client, available until the end of April. If you're familiar with *Balatro*, you'll find the mechanics of the Demon's Hand card game in *League of Legends* quite intuitive.
League of Legends Demon's Hand Set-Up and Getting Started
To dive into Demon's Hand, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon's Hand. This will introduce you to the game's storyline and launch your first round of the card game.

On your screen, your hand appears as the bottom row of cards. In the bottom right, you'll see your health, coins, and critical hit chance percentage. Above this, you'll find the Sigil box, which can hold up to six active Sigils, though you start with none. Remember, your health doesn't automatically restore after battles; instead, visit tent locations on the map to regain a percentage of your health when needed.
The enemy is represented by the card at the top, with its health shown in the bottom right of the card and damage in the bottom left. To the left of the enemy card, there's an attack coin indicating how many hands you can play before the enemy attacks. On the left edge of the screen, a book lists all the hands you can play as an attack and their base damage in a standard round.

In Demon's Hand, you deal damage by playing poker hands, which are creatively named but follow standard poker rules. The ultimate hand is The Demon's Hand, equivalent to a royal flush. Here's a breakdown of the hands you can play and their corresponding poker terminology:
- Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
- Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
- Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
- Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
- Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
- March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
- Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
- Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
- Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
- The Demon's Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)
In addition to the base damage, the numeric value of each card adds to the total damage dealt. If an enemy has a special ability negating a specific suit, cards of that suit will be crossed out, and their numeric value won't contribute to the damage.
Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils
Sigils are a key element in Demon's Hand, purchasable during store phases marked by coins on the map. You earn coins by defeating enemies and use them to buy Sigils, each offering unique abilities. Hover over Sigils in the store or during a round to see their effects. Some Sigils enhance specific hands, like boosting Dyad damage, while others may grant extra turns between enemy attacks or reduce incoming damage.
