Application for Testing and Certification of Intelligent Vehicle Roadside Infrastructure (iVRI) in the Netherlands
The system provides real-time, location-specific in-vehicle data including:
- Current static and variable speed limits
- Roadway lane configurations and availability
- Overtaking restrictions and lane usage rules
- Traffic signal status and timing predictions
- Projected timing for upcoming signal phase changes
The application enables vehicles to request priority passage at compatible iVRIs, with capability to identify as:
- National Highway Directorate (NHD) authorized vehicles
- Public transit buses
- Commercial freight vehicles
This functionality provides priority routing for eligible vehicles within the Dutch intelligent transportation infrastructure network.
