Following Meteorfall: Journeys (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale (2019), indie developer Slothwerks unleashes the trilogy's explosive finale - Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble. This time, the ultimate prize is the legendary Mask of the Uberlich.
Familiar Faces, Brand New Rules
While Rustbowl Rumble features returning characters, it completely reinvents the gameplay formula. Players now assemble three-hero squads from eight available warriors, plunging them into fast-paced battles where card combos and showmanship determine victory.
A Tale of Redemption Through Combat
The story follows Bramble, a disgraced arena owner who gambled away his empire in a Meteorfall saloon. After stumbling upon the mythical Mask of the Uberlich in the wastelands, he devises a masterplan: launch a brutal new tournament to reclaim his fortune.
The Rustbowl Rumble tournament thrives on spectacle, not sportsmanship. Players must master card play, allied coordination, and game-changing Wild Cards to survive. With over 200 customizable cards and multi-tier upgrades, every match becomes a strategic spectacle.
Between Battles: The Bramble Town Experience
The town serves as your only respite between fights, offering upgrades and training opportunities. However, time management becomes crucial - choosing the right vendors could mean the difference between victory and devastating defeat.
Quickplay Roguelike Action
Breaking genre conventions, Rustbowl Rumble delivers complete runs in under 45 minutes. The game maintains Meteorfall's signature absurdity, pitting players against bizarre foes like radiation-mutated snotwolves and drunk warrior-bears.
Originally announced as Bramble Royale, the rebranded game is now available for $6.99 on Google Play. For more indie gaming news, check out our coverage of Dark Dome's latest mystery adventure Hidden Memories.
