Marvel Rivals Welcomes Invisible Woman and More in Season 1
Get ready for a major update to Marvel Rivals! On January 10th at 1 AM PST, Season 1: Eternal Darkness Falls arrives, bringing with it the Fantastic Four's Invisible Woman, new maps, a fresh game mode, and a new battle pass.
A recent gameplay trailer showcases Invisible Woman's unique abilities. Her primary attack combines damage to enemies with healing for allies. She boasts a knockback to control distance, temporary invisibility, a double jump for enhanced mobility, and the ability to deploy a protective shield for teammates. Her ultimate unleashes a zone of invisibility, disrupting ranged attacks.
Mister Fantastic also makes his debut in Season 1, demonstrated in another trailer. His gameplay blends Duelist and Vanguard styles, utilizing stretching attacks and a defensive buff to increase his durability. He appears to have higher health than typical DPS characters.
While the arrival of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman is imminent, fans will need to be patient for Human Torch and The Thing. NetEase Games has stated that seasons will run approximately three months, with a significant mid-season update (around six to seven weeks post-launch) introducing additional characters. This update is where Human Torch and The Thing are expected to join the roster.
Although the absence of Blade, whose in-game assets have been datamined, and the reveal of Dracula as the Season 1 antagonist initially disappointed some, the excitement surrounding Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic remains high. The anticipation for future updates and additions continues to build within the Marvel Rivals community.
