Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025
Tripwire Interactive announced a significant delay for Killing Floor 3 (KF3), pushing the release date further into 2025. This decision, announced on March 7th, 2025, via the game's official Bluesky account, comes just three weeks before the originally planned March 25th launch. The delay follows a closed beta test that received overwhelmingly negative feedback.
Disappointing Beta Leads to Delay

Tripwire cited the closed beta's shortcomings as the primary reason for the postponement. Their Bluesky post acknowledged falling short of expectations, stating their commitment to delivering a game that upholds the core Killing Floor experience while pushing the franchise forward. Specific issues highlighted included performance and stability problems, UI/UX concerns, lighting issues, and unsatisfactory weapon feel.
Player feedback across social media platforms was brutally honest. Many described the beta as "insanely clunky," "unpolished," and "glitch-ridden." Criticism extended to the game's departure from the series' horror roots, leaning instead towards a futuristic sci-fi aesthetic. The character/class locking system in the beta also drew significant negative attention. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly questioned whether the developers had forgotten what made the Killing Floor series special.
Tripwire concluded their announcement with a promise to deliver a more polished product, assuring fans they would be the first to know of any further updates.
