Adventurers entering the world of Torchlight: Infinite this week will encounter daunting new challenges. This is due to the arrival of Season 12, titled Overrealm! Featuring novel mechanics, diverse build possibilities, and a revamped progression structure, there are plenty of compelling reasons to dive into this latest season.
What exactly does this entail? To begin with, we have introduced a series of rifts that appear randomly across the map. These portals grant access to the Netherrealm, where you will face escalating challenges on each layer, progressively unlocking deeper zones with increasingly lucrative rewards.
Be mindful of the timer, as each run has a strict time limit. Fortunately, you can acquire Bottled Shadows boosters during your runs. Collecting Shadows grants various drop bonuses, while Overrealm Disturbances act as map modifiers introducing unique rules, such as monsters resurrecting or Tentacle Clusters spawning enemy waves.
Abnormality
You can also collect the Abnormal Gaze currency to unlock permanent upgrades for this mode. Overrealm is designed as the ideal environment to test your builds, thanks to the new Etherealm Prism system which offers a fresh approach to character progression. Prisms can be inserted into Advancement Talent Panels to either enhance or replace primary talents with entirely new effects.
Season 12 also brings new buffs and debuffs, additional legendary gear, and various quality-of-life improvements.
