The tweet, captioned "the lion awakens," featured a brief teaser for Phantom Blade Zero. The clip shows Soul, the protagonist, interacting with a lion dancer who then swiftly dances away and strikes a pose atop fiery wooden poles.
After fading to black, the 20-second teaser reveals that the release date will be announced at TGA 2025. This hints that the announcement may also include new gameplay footage, potentially showcasing the upcoming lion dancer boss battle.
First Revealed During PlayStation Showcase 2023
Phantom Blade Zero was initially unveiled to the public during the PlayStation Showcase in May 2023. Developed by S-GAME, the game quickly captured attention with its hyper-stylized "Kungfu-Punk" aesthetic, rapid-paced action, and cinematic combat sequences.
