Calling all fishing enthusiasts eager for a unique experience! The wait is finally over for the much-anticipated eldritch fishing simulator, Dredge, which is set to launch on mobile devices on February 27th. After several shifts in its release schedule, this game is ready to dive into the deep end of your gaming library.
In Dredge, you'll step into the boots of a nameless fisherman navigating the mysterious waters surrounding a desolate archipelago. Your primary task? Catch fish and sell them to the island's inhabitants. But the game is far from simple. You'll need to manage your sanity while exploring the eerie depths, upgrading your boat, and uncovering the archipelago's enigmatic secrets. And what's lurking in the fog at night? That's for you to find out.
As I shared towards the end of last year, the mobile version of Dredge faced a delay, initially pushing its release to February 2025. Fortunately, that date is now upon us. The iOS App Store listing has been updated with the new release date, although the Android Google Play listing is yet to go live.
Aside from the traditional joy of fishing, Dredge offers a deep upgrade system and a rich tapestry of Lovecraftian horror to immerse yourself in. While there's no word yet on what DLC might be available, the main game already includes several expansions that expand the archipelago's mysteries.
With its low-poly yet captivating visual style, Dredge is poised to become a beloved title among mobile gamers. If this is indeed the final release date, many of you are likely thrilled to see it finally arrive.
