Diablo 4 Latest Updates
Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Makes Servers Lag
The latest season of Diablo 4 introduces new seasonal boss powers that, when combined correctly, result in an infinite damage build capable of slowing down servers. On May 9, YouTuber Macrobioboi released a video demonstrating this formidable build, which decimates rooms full of enemies using specific boss powers and a Legendary Aspect.
To execute this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect on their gear. This aspect allows players to inflict the Vulnerable status on enemies, boosting damage and ensuring the Vulnerable effect lasts until the enemies are defeated.
The build leverages the Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power, which stuns enemies but typically removes the Vulnerable status. However, due to the Vampiric Curse's effect, the Vulnerable status persists, causing repeated stuns. Completing the build, Varshan's Life Steal boss power inflicts significant damage each time a boss power is activated.
This combination results in the game processing numerous instances of these effects, causing server lag. As demonstrated in wudijo’s YouTube video, the screen floods with skills and abilities, leaving enemies perpetually stunned. Wudijo noted, "There are a lot of calculations going on, it's very understandable that this is a laggy build."
As of now, Blizzard Entertainment has not addressed this resource-intensive build, allowing players to continue exploiting it, albeit at the cost of increased game lag.
Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab
In other news, Diablo 4 has launched a collaboration with the renowned manga series Berserk, introducing a range of cosmetics and items. While fans are excited about the crossover, the high prices of the available sets are causing concern.
Players can earn Behelits by playing the game, which they can then use to unlock free cosmetics from the Berserk Reliquary. The free rewards include:
- Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
- Brand of Sacrifice Marking
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone
- Od of the Berserker Emblem
The premium offerings, which require Diablo 4's premium currency, Platinum, showcase iconic Berserk armors and sets:
- The Berserker Armor, Barbarian - 2,800 Platinum
- The Hawk of Light, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Struggler, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Skull Knight, Necromancer - 2,800 Platinum
- The Schnoz, Pet Bundle - 2,800 Platinum
- Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor - 2,500 Platinum
Each premium skin costs around $28, which is nearly half the price of the base game. To acquire all the premium items, players would need to spend $150 or purchase a 15,000 Platinum bundle, which includes an additional 3,500 Platinum for free.
Despite the high quality of these items, the steep prices are causing hesitation among fans. This pricing model aligns with Diablo 4's previous collaboration with World of Warcraft, hinting at similar pricing for future collaborations with other IPs. Fans may need to prepare for significant expenditures to fully enjoy these crossover events.
