Description

Unlock a world of customization with Keymapper! This powerful tool allows you to remap a variety of hardware buttons to enhance your device's functionality. You can remap fingerprint gestures on compatible devices, volume buttons, navigation buttons, and even buttons on Bluetooth or wired keyboards. If you have other connected devices with buttons, those can also be remapped. However, keep in mind that only hardware buttons are eligible for remapping, and there's no guarantee they will work due to potential restrictions from your device's OEM or vendor. Keymapper isn't designed for gaming control, but it's perfect for customizing your device's behavior.

You can create "triggers" by combining multiple keys from the same device or across different devices. Each trigger can execute multiple actions, and you can set keys to be pressed simultaneously or in a sequence. Whether it's a short press, long press, or double press, you have the flexibility to tailor your key mappings. Additionally, you can set "constraints" for your keymaps to activate only under specific conditions.

However, there are limitations. You cannot remap the power button, Bixby button, mouse buttons, or any buttons on game controllers like the D-pad, thumb sticks, or triggers. Also, your custom key maps won't function if the screen is off, due to Android's inherent limitations.

Wondering what you can do with your remapped keys? The possibilities are vast, and some actions are exclusive to rooted devices and specific Android versions. To explore the full range of actions, check out the detailed list on the Keymapper user guide at https://docs.keymapper.club/user-guide/actions.

Regarding permissions, you don't need to grant all of them for the app to work. Keymapper will prompt you if a permission is required for a specific feature. The Accessibility Service is essential for remapping, as it allows the app to listen to and block key events. Device Admin permission is needed to turn off the screen, Modify System Settings for adjusting brightness and rotation, and Camera permission to control the flashlight. Be aware that on some devices, enabling the Accessibility Service may disable "enhanced data encryption."
