Control, Remedy's action thriller, is arriving on mobile devices next year. Specifically, it will debut on the newest generation iPads and iPhones. Control places you in the role of the new director at the FBC as you attempt to thwart a terrifying cosmic entity. Whether these titles are fleeting trends or genuine advancements for the mobile platform, the arrival of AAA games on the latest iPhones is certainly welcome news. While Resident Evil has already made waves, masters of an entirely different genre are now taking their turn. Remedy Entertainment, known for Max Payne, is bringing Control to the forefront. A fitting pun: Control arrives on iPad, iPhone, and Mac in 2026. The game blends elements reminiscent of Max Payne, Alan Wake, along with touches of the SCP Foundation and X-Files into a unique experience. You assume the role of Jesse Faden, who searches for her missing brother but is thrust into action as the new Director of the shadowy Federal Bureau of Control. Equipped with telekinetic abilities and a transforming handgun, you battle a mysterious entity known only as the Hiss.
### Controller compatible, oddly enough In my view, Control is an absolute must-play title, though I admit to being somewhat of a Remedy fanboy. The game expertly balances cosmic horror with action through its intriguing storyline and familiar high-impact gunplay. Graphically, it pushes the boundaries for mobile hardware even further. As one of the first titles to integrate ray-tracing, Control offers a visually lavish experience whether or not the feature is confirmed for the mobile version. Keep an eye out in 2026; if you have your iPhone ready, you may enter the Oldest House sooner than expected.
