Description

Assess your WiFi's security. Detect intruders? WPS protocol

WPSApp evaluates your network's security using the WPS protocol.

This protocol enables WiFi connection via an 8-digit PIN, often preset in routers. The issue is that many routers' PINs from various brands are either known or can be calculated.

The app tests these PINs to check network vulnerability, using known algorithms for PIN generation and default PINs. It also calculates default keys for some routers, displays stored WiFi passwords, scans connected devices, and assesses WiFi channel quality.

Using it is straightforward: when scanning nearby networks, a red cross marks "secure" networks with WPS disabled and unknown passwords.

Networks with a question mark have WPS enabled, but the PIN is unknown; the app lets you test common PINs.

A green tick indicates likely vulnerable networks with WPS enabled and a known PIN, or WPS disabled but a known password, allowing connection.

Root access is required to view passwords, connect on Android 9/10, or use certain advanced features.

Note: Not all networks marked vulnerable are guaranteed to be so, as some companies have updated router firmware to fix this issue.

Test your network, and if vulnerable, act fast: disable WPS and set a strong, unique password.

I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANY MISUSE. Accessing others' networks is illegal.

From Android 6 (Marshmallow), location permissions are required due to Google's policy. More details: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/marshmallow/android-6.0-changes.html#behavior-hardware-id

Some Samsung models encrypt passwords, showing long hexadecimal strings instead of real passwords. Search online or contact me for decryption guidance.

PIN connections fail on LG models running Android 7 (Nougat) due to LG's software issues.

Please understand the app's functionality before rating it.
