The halls of Xavier's Institute are buzzing with excitement in Marvel Snap this May, as the New X-Men theme takes center stage. This season introduces a dynamic new squad ready to shake up your matches, featuring rising stars like the ambitious Esme Cuckoo, the electrifying Surge, and strategic minds such as Prodigy. These mutants are set to bring fresh twists to the meta, ensuring an exhilarating month of gameplay.
Leading the charge is Esme Cuckoo, a telepathic clone of Emma Frost known for her no-nonsense approach. Her On Reveal effect is a game-changer, pulling a card from your deck, adjusting its cost to three with four Power, and handing it to you like a psychic grenade ready to explode. But Esme is just the beginning. Each week, a new Series 5 mutant will join the fray, including Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn, each bringing unique abilities that will challenge you to rethink your strategies.
This month's season pass also sees the return of Captain Carter's seasonal pack, giving you another chance to snag her if you missed out before.
The new locations introduced this month, Pit of Exile and Genosha, are set to dramatically alter your gameplay. Pit of Exile forces you to adopt leaner builds and smarter sequencing by shutting down big power plays early on. On the other hand, Genosha sets the stage for final turn showdowns by clearing all but your most expensive card at the last moment. These locations will require you to adapt and innovate to come out on top.

Beyond the battles, Marvel Snap is rolling out three exciting new collection albums this May. Starting on May 8th, dive into a Penny Arcade collaboration featuring Mike Krahulik's unique variants. This is followed by a chibi-themed collection from Rian Gonzales on May 15th, and finally, a disco-themed dance fest on May 30th, showcasing groove-worthy variants of Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Dazzler.
