World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking adventure across various expansions. Prepare for a whirlwind of Timewalking campaigns, rewarding players with new rewards, a wealth of Timewarped Badges, and a significant experience boost.
This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons.
The extended Timewalking schedule is as follows:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Completing Mastery of Timeways for at least five of these weeks unlocks the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding players with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors will offer new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor, and a second chance to obtain the Sandy Shalewing pet. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will yield Heroic gear throughout the event.
This extended Timewalking period follows the recent 11-week World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, resulting in a whopping 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking!
The Turbulent Timeways event's conclusion date also hints at future World of Warcraft plans. With the final Timewalking campaign ending on February 24th, and considering Blizzard's typical release cadence, February 25th is strongly speculated as the launch date for Patch 11.1, "Undermined." This launch would align perfectly with a 10-week gap following Patch 11.0.7. Coupled with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th) and the upcoming major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025.
