Exploring Dynasty Warriors: Origins' overworld offers valuable rewards for future battles. While Pyroxene farming yields gems, you'll also discover Old Coins, whose purpose isn't immediately apparent.
Numerous Old Coins (hundreds in total) are obtainable through various methods. This guide details their uses and acquisition strategies.
What To Use Old Coins For In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Old Coins are unusable in Chapter 1; focus on the main storyline. After starting Chapter 2, complete these main story battles:
- Suppression of You Province
- Suppression of Jing Province
- Suppression of Liang Province
Completing these battles leads you back to Ji, where you'll encounter Sima Hui. After the conversation and obtaining incense for the Innkeeper, the Shui Jing Retreat unlocks near Ji. Here, you can exchange Old Coins with Sima Hui. Besides checking bonds and rewatching interactions, you can redeem Old Coins for rewards.
Rewards are tied to specific Old Coin milestones; redeem them whenever possible.
