You have the choice of three new warlords, each embodying different aspects of the faction's ethos. Lord Kaphrael, leader of the Callous Blades, excels at eliminating enemy champions. Xarahan represents the arrogance and egotism that define the Emperor's Children. And then there's Lucius the Eternal, a master swordsman whose skills have been honed over countless years.

Cards marked with Ecstasy gain an effect when their health drops to a certain level, while those with Cruelty benefit when you damage, but do not destroy, an enemy unit. Units with Stimulation activate an ability when targeted by stratagems, and Combat Elixirs cause some cards to generate additional stratagems, enhancing their abilities.
