As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the final week, dubbed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This week marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, offering the chance to evolve it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.
To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. This exciting evolution path allows you to tailor your Urshifu to your preferred battling style.
Additionally, a Special Research will be available, continuing the seasonal storyline. You can access this research until June 3rd, 2025, and it will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. During this event, several bonuses will enhance your gameplay experience.
You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, and the storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600. All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and you'll receive 8× Max Particles from them during this period. Additionally, you'll be able to perform two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple Max Mushrooms to extend the duration of this boost, although the power increase remains constant.
