Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To access the Shu faction's true ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you must first complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages, revealing a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban." This signifies an alternate ending.

Normally, this stage involves escorting Liu Bei to safety while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead.

This is challenging, as you'll face Cao Cao's army largely alone. Liu Bei's defeat before Cao Cao's means restarting the mission. To improve your odds:

1. Reduce Difficulty: Switch to "Historian" mode to make the battle more manageable. The sheer number of enemies makes this crucial.

2. Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner; his starting position is closer to Cao Cao's forces, reducing travel time.

3. Musou Meter Management: Ensure your Musou Rage meter is full before engaging Cao Cao's main army. You'll need it to counter his Grand Tactics (defeating two officers and 250 soldiers). Twin pikes are recommended for the soldier-clearing phase.

Once Cao Cao falls, a few more missions remain before the true Shu ending is revealed.
