All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are 12 secret achievements to conquer. Seven of these are tied directly to the main storyline, unlocking naturally as you progress through the game. The remaining five are linked to optional objectives, which we'll detail below:
- I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star.
- A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin.
- A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8.
- Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters.
- Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.
While some of these achievements are straightforward, others might require a bit more effort. Let's dive into the specifics of unlocking each one.
I Caught a Shooting Star!
To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip yourself with screamer pods and keep an eye out for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. Once you spot it, shoot it with the screamer pods and quickly use your Capture Net to catch it.
A Prize Held High
This achievement can be achieved on any map, but focus on areas with tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and locate the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab lurking there. Keep in mind that when you're close to a creature with the Ancient Wyvern Coin, Alma will often comment on it, hinting at its presence.
A Legacy Restored
Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start working on crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear.
Seasoned Hunter
Don't mix up Tempered monsters with Frenzied monsters, which are typically outlined in red on the minimap. Tempered monsters, on the other hand, are marked in purple. Both slaying and capturing them will contribute to your achievement progress. These monsters start appearing from Chapter 4 onwards, as you delve into High Rank content.
Top of the Food Chain
This achievement is fairly straightforward, but it's crucial to know which monsters count as Apex Predators. The following monsters qualify:
- Rey
- Dau
- Uth
- Duna
- Nu
- Udra
- Jin
- Dahaad
Hunting 50 of these will unlock the achievement.
