"Pokemon TCG Pocket adds Type: Null, Ultra Beasts in Extradimensional Crisis"

by Hannah Nov 01,2025

Haven't finished collecting all the cards from Pokemon TCG Pocket's Celestial Guardians Expansion that launched just three weeks ago? Tough luck - another expansion is already on its way. Called Extradimensional Crisis, this May 29 release introduces bizarre Ultra Beasts and the unsettling chimera hybrid Type: Null.

Extradimensional Crisis spotlights the Ultra Beasts - those uncanny extraterrestrial creatures from Pokemon Sun and Moon that emerged from alternate dimensions. Confirmed card reveals include Buzzwole ex, Blacephalon, Nihilego, and Guzzlord ex. The expansion also builds upon Celestial Guardians by adding more Alola region Pokemon, plus Type: Null (which strongly suggests its evolution Silvally will appear too).

New expansions mean fresh cosmetic options, and this one delivers an Ultra Beast-themed binder cover available for shop tickets starting May 29, plus a floral display board purchasable with event tickets during the upcoming Wonder Pick event beginning June 11.

Pokemon TCG Pocket has maintained a steady expansion release rhythm since its debut last year. While Extradimensional Crisis qualifies as a minor booster expansion (featuring just one pack type instead of multiples), it arrives remarkably soon after previous releases. This marks the seventh total expansion and fourth smaller-scale release alongside Mythical Island, Triumphant Light, and Shining Revelry. Currently, all previous expansions remain available in-game... though that status may change.
