Players are likely already familiar with the Remembrance path from its implementation in the Simulated Universe, where it focuses on freezing enemies and battlefield control. However, with Honkai: Star Rail’s major version 3.0 update, Remembrance has transitioned into a playable character path. Unlike its utility-focused role in the Simulated Universe, this new playable path emphasizes summoning units—similar to Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord mechanic—to provide both offensive and support functions.
The newly introduced Ice-based Remembrance Trailblazer primarily serves as a support unit by charging their summoned ally, Mem. This companion enables allies to deal True DMG while also advancing their action timing and increasing Crit Rate and Crit DMG. As a result, the Trailblazer shines brightest when enhancing teammates rather than dealing damage directly. Given that this is a brand-new path, there are currently limited light cone options perfectly tailored to its unique kit.
Damage-oriented light cones such as Sweat Now, Cry Less (4-star), Geniuses' Greetings (4-star), or Time Woven Into Gold (Aglaea’s 5-star variant) should be avoided, as they do not align well with the Trailblazer’s supportive role. Instead, players should focus on selecting light cones that enhance team synergy and optimize Mem’s abilities. Below are the best current options and why they stand out in Honkai: Star Rail.

This is the most effective and accessible light cone option for the Remembrance Trailblazer. Fortunately, it's entirely F2P-friendly and can be obtained via the Light Cone Manifest Store in the Forgotten Hall. While the increase to the wearer’s Crit DMG isn't particularly impactful given the Trailblazer’s support nature, the passive effect of boosting ally DMG by 16% for three turns synergizes exceptionally well with Mem’s mechanics.
Overall, Victory In a Blink stands out as the top-tier choice for Remembrance Trailblazer due to its accessibility and powerful team-wide buffs. However, if this option isn’t available yet, two alternative light cones may still offer viable support potential.
Shadowburn

While not the most powerful light cone overall, Shadowburn offers a practical benefit by accelerating energy generation for the Remembrance Trailblazer. Its passive allows for one extra skill point and 20 additional energy upon Mem’s initial summon, enabling faster activation of Mem’s abilities. This makes Shadowburn especially useful in shorter battles or efficiency-based content like time-limited challenges.
However, its effectiveness diminishes in longer encounters since the bonus only triggers once per fight. For extended combat scenarios, other options might be more consistent and beneficial.
Reminiscence

For players without access to higher-tier light cones, Reminiscence provides a modest but meaningful boost to personal and Mem-based DMG output. While not ideal for maximizing Mem’s support capabilities, the stacking DMG increase can still offer some utility, especially in prolonged fights.
It takes several turns to reach full stacks since both the Trailblazer and Mem gain them separately. This delay makes Reminiscence better suited for drawn-out encounters rather than quick clears. Still, for low-investment players, it remains a solid fallback option.
