Nightdive Studios has thrilled fans by announcing that the System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will launch on June 26, 2025. This modernized version of the iconic 1999 sci-fi horror action role-playing game will be available on a wide array of platforms, including PC via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Humble Bundle Store, and for the first time ever, on consoles such as PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The remaster has been meticulously rebuilt using Nightdive Studios' proprietary KEX Engine, ensuring that players can enjoy enhanced visuals, improved gameplay mechanics, and better performance. Key features include cross-play co-op multiplayer, full mod support, and a host of other modern video game enhancements that bring this classic back to life in stunning detail.

Set 42 years after the events of the first System Shock, antagonist SHODAN and her army of merciless mutants infest the starship Von Braun. Players embody a soldier who awakes from cryo-sleep with cybernetic implants grafted to his flesh.
