While the global release of Sonic Rumble is slated for May 8th, fans won't have to wait that long to dive into the action, thanks to an exciting pre-release crossover event. This event isn't just any crossover; it's a celebration of Sega's iconic characters from past and present, set to join the fray in Sonic Rumble!
The crossover event kicks off before the global release and is available to players in regions where Sonic Rumble is currently in soft launch. From now until May 7th, players can claim the Werewolf character, inspired by the classic game Altered Beast, absolutely free.
For those who subscribe to the Sega Star Event Pass, there's even more to look forward to. Subscribers can unlock the Weredragon from Altered Beast and Opa-Opa, the original Sega mascot from the arcade hit Fantasy Zone.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Additional characters such as Upa-Upa and Werebear will be available for purchase through the in-game Ring Shop. Meanwhile, fans of Super Monkey Ball can grab AiAi and MeeMee from the Red Star Ring Shop.
It's certainly unusual to see such an event happening before the official release, but those fortunate enough to participate in the soft launch are in for a treat. And this is just the beginning.
