The Battle of Polytopia has unleashed the fiery Solaris tribe on mobile devices, following its initial release on PC a few months ago. This blazing counterpart to the frosty Polaris tribe is set to ignite the Square, transforming the battlefield into a scorching arena of fire and fury.
The Solaris Ignites The Battle of Polytopia
The new Solaris skin brings a dramatic transformation to the game, turning ice into blazing infernos, snow into smoldering ash, and tranquil lakes into pools of molten lava. Although technically the same tribe, Solaris has exchanged its chilly strategies for explosive tactics that promise to heat up the competition.
This update also introduces spicy new lore that deepens the narrative. It connects to an ongoing war that has devastated worlds. While the icy Polaris had previously engaged with the enigmatic Gaami, the arrival of the Ralmi intensifies the conflict. The Ralmi, fire-wielding invaders from the depths, have emerged with a vengeance, setting their sights on the Square. Their initial move involves shackling the Solaris and spreading their fiery magic across the land.
The Solaris' Fiery Strategies
Solaris brings innovative gameplay mechanics to the table. They have the ability to convert water into solid lava, altering map navigation. Their units, such as the Pyro, leave a trail of fire as they move, while Ash Archers can petrify enemy troops, adding a new layer of strategy to combat.
Additionally, the Steam Wagon enables rapid movement over lava rivers, and Lava Banks allow players to generate stars by setting the terrain ablaze. To see the Solaris in action, check out the trailer below.
Master new skills such as Heatwork for crater-building, Geothermics for harnessing volcanic turbines, and Explosives to keep the battlefield dynamic. Meanwhile, the Ralmi introduce their own destructive elements, including the Tuagama Lizard and Igmina Crystals, adding to the fiery chaos.
