Pokémon GO Adds Psyduck for Netflix Series

Psyduck takes center stage in the latest Pokémon GO event, which is actually celebrating the return of Pokémon Concierge on Netflix. The second part of the animated series was released on September 4th, continuing Haru's adventures at the resort.

Pokémon GO Teaches a Water Safety Lesson with Psyduck

Recently, Psyduck has been seen waddling around Brazil. In Pokémon GO, you can find it as part of the Pokémon Concierge Celebration Event, which runs from September 9th at 10:00 AM to September 14th, 2025, at 8:00 PM.

Although no new Pokémon are joining the game this time, Psyduck is in the spotlight with a debut costume. This version features a swim ring, appears in the wild, and has its Shiny form available. Alongside Psyduck, Sealeo will appear in the wild, while Shinx will be a rarer spawn.

Several bonuses are active during the event. You’ll earn double XP for catching Pokémon, your buddies will bring you gifts more often, and your chances of encountering a Shiny Psyduck with a swim ring are increased. The Shiny Psyduck even comes with a special event-exclusive background.

What Else Is New?

You also have a chance to be photobombed in GO Snapshots by Pokémon or characters from Pokémon Concierge. Meanwhile, completing Field Research will reward you with encounters featuring themed Pokémon. So, be sure to download the game from the Google Play Store before the event begins.

I’m really excited about the second season of Pokémon Concierge. The series emerged from discussions between The Pokémon Company and Netflix back in 2019. The first season of this Japanese stop-motion ONA series was released in December 2023.

Its heartfelt storytelling and soothing atmosphere quickly made it a fan favorite. The story follows Haru, a woman who finds herself working as a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, where she learns and grows through her interactions with visiting Pokémon. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend giving it a watch.
