Pokémon Go has announced a new $100 Premier Access upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest: Jersey City event, offering exclusive in-game items and real-world amenities — including "premium restroom facilities."
Go Fest, the game's flagship summer event, will take place at Liberty State Park in Jersey City this year alongside parallel celebrations in Paris and Osaka.
Niantic revealed that Jersey City attendees can now enhance their experience with this premium upgrade package, which includes valuable exclusive benefits.
A VIP Experience Awaits
The Premier Access functions like a business-class tier for the event, granting ticket holders entry to an exclusive lounge area.
According to Niantic, this VIP space features "enhanced restroom facilities, charging stations with secure lockers, and comfortable seating areas." While the company hasn't specified how these restrooms differ from standard facilities, they promise an upgraded experience.
Holders will also enjoy priority access to the Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store, allowing them to bypass lines when purchasing event merchandise — a significant time-saver considering the typical crowds at Go Fest retail areas.

Exclusive In-Game Bonuses
The upgrade's most valuable component may be its generous package of in-game items, including:
- 100 Premium Battle Passes
- 100 Super Incubators
- 20 Max Particle Packs
- Various specialty items and enhancements
At typical market prices, these digital goods could easily exceed $300 in value.
Player Reactions Mixed
The announcement has drawn polarized responses from the Pokémon Go community. Some players expressed concern over the game's increasing monetization, while others noted the package delivers substantial value for dedicated players.
Niantic has not confirmed whether similar upgrades will be available at other Go Fest locations. The 2024 events will feature the debut of Legendary Pokémon Volcanion and wider availability of the Mexican region-exclusive Hawlucha.
