Fresh off the excitement of time distortions and Hisuian Zorua encounters, Pokémon Go announces its next Ultra Unlock: Steel and Scales. Beginning July 22nd, this event introduces three highly anticipated sword Pokémon from Kalos region - Honedge, Doublade, and Aegislash finally join the adventure.
The second Ultra Unlock event delivers impressive bonuses including quadruple XP and Stardust for catches, along with increased Shiny odds for Bagon, Beldum, and Unown U in raids. But the real highlights go beyond these standard rewards.
In an exciting development, Honedge's evolutionary line will be available through Go Battle League rewards. During the event, they'll appear starting at Rank 6, then move up to Rank 16 afterward, with better encounter rates for premium track participants.
Wild spawns will feature steel-type and dragon-like Pokémon more frequently, including Magnemite, Dratini, Aron, Noibat, and Ferroseed. Keen-eyed trainers might even encounter the debut of Shiny Rookidee. For dedicated hunters, rare finds like Axew and Goomy will appear on the map.

The raid lineup receives a significant refresh too. One-Star raids feature Unown U, Gible, Klink, Deino alongside the new Honedge. Three-Star options include Skarmory, Bisharp, Dragalge, and Turtonator - several with potential Shiny variants, making raid selection crucial for collectors.
