Pikmin Bloom is preparing to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month. For this special milestone, Niantic is reintroducing nostalgic gadgets into the game. The festivities begin with a new event launching May 1st, 2025.
A Nostalgic Tribute to Nintendo’s Legacy!
Throughout the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with creative decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is paying homage to classic Nintendo consoles from the 1980s and ‘90s.
The update also introduces a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin—a subtle nod to Nintendo’s origins as a playing card manufacturer before becoming a video game giant. The design takes inspiration from Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.
The event runs from May 1st through May 31st, 2025, offering players an entire month to complete missions and collect unique Pikmin. Each time you complete an Event Challenge, you’ll earn random rewards, including Game Button Cells, seedlings for growing Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
Additionally, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear throughout the event. Defeating these mushrooms grants Mystery Boxes containing items like Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin prove especially effective in taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom’s 3.5th Anniversary Expands with Seasonal Flowers
Throughout May, planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around Big Flowers can cause them to bloom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses.
The update also revamps nectar rewards, ensuring that fruit collected from mushrooms in May provides nectar for both standard and seasonal flowers—including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Other activities include Community Day events, ensuring plenty of engagement. Download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store to join the 3.5th anniversary celebrations.
