Exciting news for fans of the Persona series: Persona 5: The Phantom X is set to launch globally on June 26th, 2025, the same date previously announced for its Japanese release. Pre-registration for Android users is already live, allowing eager players to secure their spot ahead of the launch.
Originally launched in China a year ago, the game expanded to Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong, where it's available on Android, iOS, and PC. Now, SEGA and Atlus are ensuring a worldwide release, broadening the game's reach to a global audience.
Developed by Black Wing Game Studio with contributions from former Persona 5 developers, Phantom X operates on a free-to-play model, featuring a gacha system that allows players to summon various characters to join their party.

In Phantom X, players will step into the role of a new protagonist, leading their own crew of Phantom Thieves through a stylized version of modern-day Tokyo, exploring new palaces and mementos. The game retains the series' signature turn-based combat and dual-life rhythm, complemented by light social simulation elements and dungeon crawling.
Additional features include a guild system, a PvE mode known as Velvet Trials, and appearances by beloved characters from the original Persona 5. The story begins with the protagonist awakening from a nightmare into a distorted version of reality, guided by a talking owl named Lefaye and the enigmatic Velvet Room crew, including the long-nosed man and his assistants.
