Dogs are more than just companions in video games—they’re loyal allies, and in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, Mutt is no exception. As Henry’s faithful canine friend, Mutt plays a meaningful role in the journey. Unfortunately, he goes missing early in the story. Don’t worry—this guide will walk you through exactly how to find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* and reunite him with Henry.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – How to Find Mutt

Mutt’s Location in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Mutt can be found during a dedicated side quest that becomes available after he disappears. The search leads you to a wolf cave located southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river bathing spot. For your convenience, we’ve included a map screenshot below to help pinpoint his exact location.

The most efficient way to reach Mutt is by fast traveling to the Nomads’ Camp. From there, head out along the path and proceed southwest into the forest. Following this route should bring you to the top of the cave area. As you approach, you’ll begin to hear Mutt whining nearby. Follow the sound until you locate him in a clearing near the cave alongside a small pack of wolves.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Mutt Encounter Scene

Once you get close enough, a cutscene will trigger where you discover Mutt surrounded by wolves. This moment also includes a tutorial on how to control Mutt in combat. At this point, you have two choices: engage in battle or flee the scene. Fighting isn't too difficult, and it's a great opportunity to gain some experience with your combat skills.

After handling the wolves, Mutt will officially return to your side. Press L1 while looking at him to interact. You can feed him using food from your inventory or send him back to your home base if needed.

Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest

An important note: You may encounter the wolf cave and Mutt unexpectedly while completing the “Invaders” side quest. This typically happens if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After drinking with them, Henry follows Vasko up the hill in a drunken state in search of more alcohol. The quest path naturally leads toward the cave, triggering the same cutscene with Mutt and the wolves.

In this scenario, you’ll need to either fight or flee while under the effects of intoxication. For a smoother experience, it’s highly recommended to complete the Mutt rescue earlier in the day before progressing further into the Invaders quest. Battling wolves—or even escaping—in the dark while drunk significantly increases the risk of falling and dying, which could cost you valuable time and progress.

And that’s everything you need to know about finding Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Once reunited, he becomes a valuable companion who adds depth and support to your gameplay. Be sure to check out [ttpp] for more tips and guides on *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* and other exciting titles.
