Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon unveiled a poster featuring Urban, styled as a faux Johnny Cage movie poster, complete with the over-the-top action one would expect from the character. The image is a clever marketing ploy, promoting the real Mortal Kombat 2 film.
This sequel directly follows the 2021 reboot, starring Lewis Tan, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Joe Taslim. Joining the cast are several newcomers, including Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.
