Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS, but exclusively in Japan, under the publishing banner of Realfun Studio. Previously, the game made its debut in China via Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games. However, the Chinese version was removed roughly a year ago.
Rediscover the Charm of Farm Life
At the heart of Morikomori Life lies its breathtaking visuals, crafted with anime-inspired art reminiscent of Studio Ghibli’s timeless classics. This isn’t the digital art often generated by AI tools; instead, the game’s aesthetics transport players into a world that feels plucked straight from an animated masterpiece.
Players assume the role of Kaon, a young Japanese woman who receives a cryptic letter from her grandmother, urging her to return to Komori, the quaint village of her childhood. From there, the journey unfolds as you rediscover the beauty of a tranquil life.
Komori’s 3D toon-shaded environments breathe life into the Japanese countryside, making every landscape feel warm and inviting. It’s not hyperbole—take a moment to watch the game trailers below to truly appreciate the charm.
Live the Simple Life at Your Own Pace
Morikomori Life revolves around the everyday joys of rural living. Tend to crops, cook hearty meals, fish in serene rivers, hunt for wildlife, and even construct your dream home. Chop wood, mine for ores, and uncover rare treasures during your explorations.
As you gather resources, you unlock upgrades to enhance your home and enrich your lifestyle. Personalise Kaon’s appearance to match your style, forge friendships within the village, and craft delicious dishes using freshly foraged ingredients. Help villagers with their daily tasks and immerse yourself in the charm of slow-paced living.
The game features a robust open-world system, allowing you to explore freely and encounter delightful surprises along the way. Currently available on Android in Japan, you can download it from the Google Play Store. No official announcement has been made regarding a global release.
