Monster Hunter Wilds Gets PC Benchmark and New System Requirements

by Sophia Mar 14,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is just weeks away, and Capcom has released a PC benchmark tool on Steam to help players check their system's compatibility. Conveniently, they've also lowered the official PC system requirements.

The benchmark tool, available now on Steam, is straightforward to use. After a quick shader compilation, it provides a clear performance assessment. This is especially helpful given the updated system requirements.

Previously, achieving 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation required a powerful setup. Now, the recommended specifications for 1080p/60fps with Frame Generation are significantly more accessible:

OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 11 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory: 16 GB Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) Storage: 75 GB SSD (Solid State Drive required)

These updated requirements, according to Capcom, should deliver a smooth 1080p/60fps experience with Frame Generation. The changes represent a noticeable improvement in accessibility.

Early benchmark results show improved performance compared to the beta, particularly with Frame Generation enabled. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains questionable.

Beyond the processor adjustments, the storage requirement has also been significantly reduced from 140 GB to 75 GB. This is a surprising decrease, especially considering the general trend of increasing game sizes.
