Monster Hunter Wilds is offering a second Open Beta, giving players another chance to experience the game before its official launch and introducing new features. Here's how to join the hunt!
New Monster, New Opportunities
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February.
Following the success of the initial beta, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced a second phase on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. This gives players another opportunity to explore the game before its February 28th launch.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This iteration includes new content, notably the addition of the Gypceros monster, a series veteran.
Character data from the first beta carries over and can be transferred to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack to aid early-game progression.
Tsujimoto explained the second beta's purpose: to accommodate those who missed the first and those eager for a return engagement. He also confirmed ongoing development on the full game, though the latest fixes won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to hunt!
