Legendary giants are awakening in Pokémon Go, calling raiders, collectors, and lore hunters back to the field. Ahead of this year’s Go Fest: Global, the week-long Ancients Recovered event starts June 23rd—the perfect reason to assemble your raid teams and seek out these powerful titans.
From Regirock to Regigigas, a different legendary giant will be featured daily in five-star raids, with all six appearing together on June 27th. This isn’t just a repeat appearance—capture them during the event and they’ll come with their signature moves, such as Zap Cannon for Registeel and Thunder Cage for Regieleki.

If your teams are ready for serious battles, Max Battles are also available. The fully Gigantamaxed Galar starters—Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon—will appear in six-star raids. For those chasing more than raid victories, Timed Research offers repeatable tasks centered on the legendary giants, with a special reward: completing it unlocks a surprise choice.
There’s also a premium option if you purchase the $7.99 Fleeting Legends Ticket. It gives access to Timed Research that ends with an encounter of your choice between Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres—a guaranteed way to add one of these rare birds to your collection.
Be sure to join the Global Challenge, too. From June 22nd to 27th, trainers worldwide can contribute to unlocking global bonuses such as stronger Premier Balls and faster Party Power charging through the end of Go Fest. Every raid you complete helps.
If luck is on your side, some raid catches may come with special Pokémon Backgrounds—visual mementos tied to the event, similar to Location Backgrounds from live festivals. They don’t affect gameplay, but they sure make a cool showcase.
And don’t forget to visit the Pokémon Go Web Store, where you’ll find new battle pass bundles and a premium $99.99 raid-and-hatch box for dedicated trainers.
