As the Sweet Discoveries event approaches, Pokémon GO is preparing for its next thrilling chapter—Crown Clash! Mark your calendars for May 10th to 18th, as this regal event brings a wave of exciting new features, including the debut of Kingambit, crowned variants of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, and a bounty of shiny encounters, bonus XP, and special research tasks.
Prepare to welcome Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, into your Pokédex. To evolve it, you’ll first need to befriend a Bisharp and defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles while Bisharp is your Buddy. Once that’s done, you’ll be ready to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit and add this powerful Pokémon to your roster.
Adding to the royal flair are two newly costumed Pokémon: crowned Nidoqueen and Nidoking. These majestic versions will also appear in three-star raids, giving trainers a prime opportunity to catch them. Keep your fingers crossed—you might even encounter their Shiny forms!

- Slakoth
- Piplup
- Combee
- Snivy
- Litleo
- Pawniard (with increased spawns)

Evolving has never been sweeter! Take advantage of double XP for evolving Pokémon, making this the perfect time to tackle any evolution backlog. Trainers can also dive into event-themed Field Research tasks and a special “Catch and Evolve” Collection Challenge, offering additional rewards like Stardust, XP, and extra opportunities to capture Pawniard. Trainers at Level 31 and above will even receive guaranteed Candy XL upon completing the challenge.
