After weeks of players clamoring for answers, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the rocky rollout of Version 1.5. If you've been playing the game, you're well aware of the issues—it felt unfinished, and the team has now admitted they weren't fully prepared for the launch. As a result, they've decided to delay the release of Version 1.6.
When Is the Update Releasing?
Originally slated for release on June 4th, Version 1.6 has been postponed to June 12th. Version 1.5 was released on April 28th, and in the meantime, the current Bubble Season will be extended until the new release date. This means events like Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? will continue to run until June 12th. Additionally, stores such as Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will remain open. Weekly tasks, including Starlit Pursuit, which was initially scheduled for May 20th, have also been shifted to Version 1.6.
The developers have issued an apology, explaining their struggles with performance across various platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently refining gameplay systems and have assured players that missing storylines, like Threads of Reunion, have not been abandoned but merely delayed.
Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?
Recently, the game has been plagued with bugs, broken quests, and co-op malfunctions. To mitigate the damage, the developers are offering compensation: 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th, which players must claim by logging in daily.
Some players see this as a desperate attempt to boost engagement metrics following their recent missteps. Additionally, the community is expressing disappointment over the quick transition from the apology to promotional banners for new outfits.
