This feature will be exclusive to the PC version and stands as the headline addition in a new patch available for download on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The update introduces the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit, a robust toolkit enabling the community to craft new content like dungeons and quests, as well as modify character appearances. The popular platform CurseForge will serve as the official hub, hosting and distributing user-created mods. The game will also integrate a built-in mod manager, providing a simple way for players to discover and install interesting modifications with ease.
Starting Thursday, a selection of pre-approved mods will be immediately available, including the "Dungeon of Doom." This challenging new area will test players as they battle waves of enemies and uncover its secrets. There is, however, one potential condition to note: accessing the modding features will require linking your game account to a WB Games account.
Beyond modding, the patch will expand character customization with new hairstyles and outfit options. The official announcement trailer provided a glimpse of these tools and potential mods in action.
