EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, popularly known as EA, is currently hosting a limited-time playtest for its new mobile title *City Life Game with Friends* on Android. This test is part of EA’s broader initiative under *The Sims Project Rene*, designed to gather valuable player feedback on gameplay performance and user interaction.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest is available exclusively on Android devices. To participate, your device must be running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB RAM. However, access is not open to all regions—participation is limited to specific locations selected by EA.

The playtest will remain active until April 4th, 2025, though exact end times vary by region: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the test concludes, players will need to uninstall the game from their devices.

Please note that this is not the full version of the game, nor does it represent the final product. Rather, it offers a glimpse into EA's evolving vision for the project. The current build reflects an experimental phase where various gameplay mechanics and social features are being tested and refined.

What’s in Store?

Once inside the game, players can create a character that reflects their personal style and explore a vibrant neighborhood filled with activities. From shopping at the Thrift Shop for unique outfits to relaxing at the Café or participating in community events, there's plenty to do.

Collaborate with friends to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, or go on adventures to uncover hidden collectibles. The game emphasizes social connection and community building, encouraging players to bond over shared interests in art, music, and meaningful conversations.

If you're in one of the eligible regions, head over to the Google Play Store to see if you can join the fun. If not, stay tuned for more updates—or check out our next story about Bandai Namco ending support for PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
