Aspyr is leveling up the Android experience for Civilization VI players. On June 12th, a significant update for Sid Meier’s Civilization VI on Android will roll out, delivering previously absent features, maps, and content to match other platforms. Two major expansion passes will also debut for purchase on Android.

The update introduces three new units to enrich gameplay. Trebuchets slot between Catapults and Bombards, Man-at-Arms bolster your Medieval-era melee forces, and Line Infantry smooth the shift from Musketmen to advanced Infantry. These units enhance strategic depth across game stages.

Players can explore four new maps, including a sprawling Mediterranean and a vast Earth map, each offering variants that start your civilization in its historical capital. For those craving dynamic gameplay, the Tech and Civic Shuffle and Barbarian Clans modes bring fresh unpredictability to Android.

This update also delivers highly requested tools like Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers for tailored world creation, alongside the Leader Selection Pool and new leader Julius Caesar. Over 50 bugs are squashed, with multiplayer performance significantly improved.

From June 12th, Android players can dive deeper with two new passes. The New Frontier Pass ($29.99) brings eight civilizations, nine leaders, and six unique game modes. The Leader Pass ($19.99) adds 12 new leaders, including fresh spins on beloved rulers.
