Heads up: music streaming giant Spotify experienced a significant outage this morning. According to Downdetector, reports of Spotify outages started pouring in around 6 a.m. PT and continued throughout the morning. Our team also faced difficulties accessing the service, and even when we managed to open the app, it refused to play music.
Spotify has officially acknowledged the issue and is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. The company has also debunked rumors circulating about the outage being related to a security hack, confirming these reports are false.
