Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Emery May 12,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it seems Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can catch it live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a tweet posted today, Bethesda's official account teased the upcoming reveal. Though the post didn't explicitly mention the game, the prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork strongly hint at what's to come.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, with recent leaks adding fuel to the fire. The initial hint came from a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which mentioned a planned Oblivion remaster for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and passed release window suggested the project might have been scrapped, further leaks in January of this year indicated a full remake in development by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The speculation reached a fever pitch last week when leaks from Virtuos' website showcased the remake in action, all but confirming its existence.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to both a standard edition and a Deluxe Edition, which includes the iconic horse armor.

Don't miss out on the official announcement tomorrow, where Bethesda is expected to confirm these details and share more about what fans can expect from this highly anticipated remaster.
