If you're a fan of the Alien universe, get ready for an upgrade because Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition is on its way. This highly anticipated single-player action-horror game doesn’t require a VR headset, making it accessible to more players. Set to launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on September 30, 2025, the Evolved Edition promises "even deadlier Xenomorphs" and enhanced visuals. Excited? You can wishlist the non-VR version today on both Steam and PlayStation.
Originally released in December 2024 for PlayStation VR2 and PCVR via Steam, and later on Meta Quest 3 in February, this game has been building anticipation among fans. Developed and published by Survios, the Evolved Edition will retail at $29.99 for the standard version and $39.99 for the Digital Deluxe edition.
Taking place between the events of the first Alien film and Aliens, players embark on a harrowing mission to LV-354 in search of a missing squadmate. Things go sideways fast, leaving protagonist Zula and her synthetic companion, Davis 01, stranded in the eerie Castor’s Cradle research facility. Expect plenty of intense action, terrifying Xenomorph encounters, and a gripping narrative.
IGN gave the original VR version a 7/10, praising it as "a compelling first crack at bringing Alien to VR with lots of room to grow." The team behind Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One will showcase the Evolved Edition at IGN Live next month.
In other Alien news, the universe is buzzing with activity. The FX TV show Alien: Earth is coming later this year, and there’s a crossover teased with the upcoming Predator film, Predator: Badlands. Fans can also look forward to Alien: Romulus 2 down the line. Meanwhile, Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part Two is already in development.
