Description

Japanese Mahjong is an engaging game that follows the traditional rules of the Japanese style. To play, you'll use the slider located at the bottom of the screen to select your tiles. Once you've made your selection, you can discard the tile by tapping on the slider, a key move in strategizing your game.

The ultimate goal of Mahjong is to complete your hand with four Melds and one Pair. An example of a completed hand might look like this: \[1, 2, 3\]\[6, 6, 6\]\[6, 7, 8\]\[N, N, N\]\[4, 4\]. However, be aware that certain hands may not be valid if they involve Chi, Pon, or Open Kan maneuvers. It's important to check whether your hand remains valid if you use 1s and 9s in these actions.

In Japanese Mahjong, having at least one valid hand is crucial. You can declare a "Reach" by paying 1,000 points, which allows you to form a hand. Note that you cannot declare a Reach if you have already used Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. A closed hand, one that hasn't been exposed through these actions, can earn you higher points.

A "Lost Hand" refers to a situation where your hand is Waiting, but you cannot win off someone else's discard because you've already discarded a winning tile. Even with a Lost Hand, you can still win by self-drawing a tile. The key is to ensure that you never get "Ron" (winning off another player's discard) with a tile you've discarded yourself. To maximize your chances of winning, carefully analyze the other players' discards to deduce their hands.
